Design and Implementation of Remote Monitoring System for Machining Center

Manufacturing globalization and market competition are a development trend and characteristics of today's manufacturing industry. The globalization of manufacturing is mainly reflected in the decentralization of enterprise manufacturing systems and the internationalization of customers and suppliers. Globalization requires collaboration and sharing of information within the same enterprise, between enterprise and equipment suppliers, and between enterprises and customers. High-quality production capabilities and products, good after-sales service and flexible online engineering support all place strong demands on remote service/remote online engineering support. With the rapid development of computer technology and modern communication technology and the wide application of Internet/Intranet, research on remote online engineering support and remote operation is becoming a research hotspot. In the remote service fault diagnosis system of the equipment, remote monitoring of the equipment is the basis for remote online diagnosis and engineering support. At present, some complex processing equipments and products in the manufacturing industry also have good extended interfaces for remote communication control and complete protocols for communication with the host computer. These features are for remote access and operation of products and devices. Control provides a good foundation and conditions.

This paper is based on the MAHO CNC machine tool of FMS Laboratory of CIMS Research Center of Tongji University. The overall structure and hardware and software design and implementation of remote monitoring and access to the remote monitoring system (RCCNCS) of MAHO CNC machine tools are discussed in detail.

1 Overall design of RCCNCS

System function and purpose The function analysis diagram of RCCNCS is shown in Figure 1.

The MAHO machine adopts the DNC working mode (automatic mode), and the local curse monitoring station performs corresponding operations and control on the machine tool through the monitoring software according to the work requirements. The PC monitoring station is the intermediate device connecting the remote network equipment and the CNC system of the machining center. The main processing information includes: analog machine keyboard operation and screen display; collecting machine status information and real-time machining information; issuing control commands to the machine tool to control the machine tools Kind of action; network information processing according to the needs of network access, cooperate with the work of remote network equipment; simulate the machining state of the machine tool; transfer the processing program up and down, realize the BTR working mode of the machine tool.
