Israel tests wireless charging roads to help promote electric vehicles

Israel's "ElectRoad" company is about to begin road wireless charging technology testing. This indicates that the long-cherished wish of new energy vehicles to be charged during the exercise is expected to be achieved.

The principle of this technology is very simple. It is to lay the electromagnetic copper plate powered by the inverter installed on the roadside under the road. Of course, the bottom of the car also needs the same copper plate to gain power. At the same time, the car needs to be equipped with a spare battery. Because the car can't get enough power from the wireless charging road when it is rapidly accelerating or climbing, it needs to use spare batteries. In addition, because people often park in parallel in the city, the car needs to go around, and it is also necessary to use a battery when it is impossible to drive above the electromagnetic copper plate. It can be said that this technology not only reduces the cost of buying batteries, but also reduces the time required for charging.

The ElectRoad company's half-mile (about 800 meters) road test conducted in Tel Aviv next year received support from the Israeli government and a $120,000 sponsorship fee. If this test is successful, "ElectRoad" plans to lay a 11-mile (about 18km) wireless charging road between Eilat and Ramon International Airport.

For now, the technology can only be used on a bus or when the vehicle is driving in urban areas. If the technology is to be used globally in the future, the infrastructure renovation project is very large.

At the same time, when the battery is working, the fluorocarbon is converted into lithium fluoride and carbon that can conduct electricity, and the internal resistance does not increase. The discharge plateau is stable, and the working voltage can be stable until the end of discharging.
 4.Good storage performance.Li-(CFx)n battery is very stable, no matter in the process of using or in the condition of normal storage, its self-discharge rate is very low, ≤1%, its shelf life is more than 10 years.
5.Superior safety performance.The excellent chemical and physical stability of the fluorocarbon ensures the safety of the Li-(CFx)n battery. It is still very safe in the case of short circuit, extrusion, collision, over discharge and high temperature.
6.Green environmental protection.During the process of production, using and rejection of batteries, there is no heavy metals involved.
