With the rapid development of the heat treatment industry, many heat treatment plants and workshops in China have gradually increased the importance of heat treatment process, quenching medium and heating equipment, and the circulating cooling of quenching media often pays insufficient attention or even neglects. The result of the development of this phenomenon: The investment in heat treatment equipment is increasing, the heating equipment is continuously updated and improved, but the investment in the quenching medium cooling system is very small. The system renewal and transformation are not taken seriously by most manufacturers, and it is still accustomed to using old-fashioned water cooling. Circulating cooling systems, which tend to cause increased operating costs of system equipment, unstable product quality, and intermittent production.

During the quenching and cooling process, the temperature field, the tissue field and the stress field change inside the workpiece. The phase change depends on the cooling rate of the quenching medium, and the latent heat of phase change in turn affects the cooling rate. The temperature and the change of the structure cause stress and strain. . If the temperature control of the quenching medium is not accurate, it directly affects the metallographic structure and mechanical properties of the workpiece. At the same time, if the quenching oil is continuously used, if the heat released from the workpiece is not converted out in time, the oil temperature will continue to rise, resulting in a large amount of soot and a deterioration of the workshop environment. At the same time, the risk of fire has increased significantly. Therefore, the temperature control and cooling rate of the quenching medium are the key.
