In the most recent period, the outbreak of H7N9 in the mainland of China is still spreading, and it is not ruled out that cases continue to occur in some parts of the south. The Health and Planning Commission requested that the provinces where the epidemic occurred should step up efforts to strengthen the prevention and control of the epidemic, supervise the implementation of the control measures for the closure of the live poultry market, the closure of the market, and the elimination of killings, and further strengthen the early diagnosis and early treatment. Severe treatment work, strengthen the guidance of case diagnosis and treatment work, and strive to reduce severe cases and deaths. For provinces that have not yet experienced the epidemic, it is necessary to strengthen the monitoring of the epidemic and the risk assessment, and prepare for the prevention of the epidemic.

From December 8, 2016 to the present, Anhui Province reported a total of 5 confirmed cases of H7N9 and 2 died. There were 3 cases in Hefei City (including 1 case of offsite disease), 1 case died, 1 case in Xuancheng City, and 1 case in Lu'an City.

On December 14, 2016, the Ministry of Health of China and Macao Health Department held an emergency press conference to confirm that a live poultry wholesaler had tested positive for the H7N9 bird flu virus. There was no symptoms at the moment and it was the first case of bird flu in Macao.

On December 19, 2016, the Hong Kong Health Protection Center in China stated that a 75-year-old man was infected with H7N9 and is currently undergoing isolation treatment. This is the first imported case since the beginning of winter in Hong Kong this year.

On December 20, 2016, a reporter from Xiamen City, Fujian Province, learned from the Xiamen City CDC that a case of human H7N9 infection was found in the disease surveillance in Siming District of Xiamen City in recent days. It is a sporadic case and the patient is currently in stable condition.

On December 21, 2016, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning reported that Shanghai City reported one confirmed case of imported H7N9 virus infection in Jiangsu Province.

On December 30, 2016, the Hong Kong Centre for Health Protection announced the second case of H7N9 bird flu. A 70-year-old man who had traveled to Shenzhen and Zhongshan for medical treatment was diagnosed with H7N9. He is currently in hospital and is in stable condition. The CHP is still investigating the source of the infection.

On December 31, 2016, the Weinan State Health and Family Planning Commission of Guizhou Province reported one case of human infection with H7N9 bird flu. The patient is currently undergoing hospitalization.

On December 31, 2016, one case of H7N9 was diagnosed in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. At present, the patient is seriously ill and is being treated in a hospital in Nanchang City.

On January 3, 2017, Rizhao City, Shandong Province, the Health Commission notified the Donggang District confirmed a case of human infection with H7N9 influenza, due to serious underlying diseases, rescued died.

On January 4, 2017, 1 case of H7N9 infection was found in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. The patient is currently being treated in a hospital in Nanchang City.

On January 5, 2017, the Guangdong Provincial Health and Development Commission notified the province of statutory reporting of infectious diseases in December 2016. Among them, 14 cases of H7N9 were reported, which were distributed in 3 cases in Guangzhou, 2 in Shenzhen, 1 in Dongguan, 1 in Zhongshan, 3 in Jiangmen, 2 in Zhaoqing, and 2 in Jieyang. Among them, there were 7 deaths.

On January 06, 2017, a 62-year-old man from Hong Kong had a long-term illness on his way from Hong Kong to Zengcheng, Guangzhou on December 15, 2016. He had fever, cough, and difficulty breathing since January 1. He was in a hospital in Dongguan. After two days of treatment, she left the hospital on January 3 and returned to Hong Kong. On the 4th, she went to Renji Hospital and died on the 6th. He was later confirmed to be infected with the H7N9 virus. The man was the third bird flu case in Hong Kong since the winter.

On January 7, 2017, a case of H7N9 influenza was reported in the infectious disease hospital of Laiwu City, Shandong Province. Currently, provincial and municipal experts are making full efforts to treat it.

On January 7, 2017, the patient in Nanchang City of Jiangxi Province was Fengcheng, who now lives in Nanchang City. After the onset of illness, he visited Xinyu to visit relatives and was admitted to hospital. The patient is in critical condition and is now undergoing treatment in a hospital in Nanchang City.

On January 7, 2017, two new H7N9 cases of bird flu were reported in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. The patient Zou Mou is from Jiujiang and currently lives in Jiujiang City. He was diagnosed with H7N9 on January 7th. He is currently in critical condition and is being treated in a hospital in Jiujiang City. The patient Lee is from Huangmei, Hubei Province and currently lives in Jiujiang City, January 7th. The confirmed case was H7N9. At present, the patient is in stable condition and is being treated in a hospital in Jiujiang City.

On January 8, 2017, 1 case of H7N9 bird flu was added to Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. Patient Liu, female, 55 years old, Fengxin County. At present, the patient is seriously ill and is being treated in a hospital in Nanchang City.

On January 8, 2017, Hunan Provincial Center for Disease Control in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province reported that one case of human infection with H7N9 was found after confirmation by relevant agencies. The patient was a male, 35 years old this year and lived in Hetang District, Zhuzhou City at the time of onset. The patient had a close live bird exposure history, selling vegetables near the live poultry market and raising chickens at home.
