Automatic doors began to be used on buildings, after the twentieth century. In the late 1920s, the opening of American supermarkets, automatic doors began to be used. In 1930, the US Stanley interest rate first introduced the world's first automatic door (this historical material is recorded in the New York Times). Since then, the world's first automatic door brand DORMA has introduced hydraulic and air-type automatic doors to the market in 1945, and the main entrance of the new building has also begun to be used. By 1962, electrical styles had begun to appear, and with the construction of the city, the field of automatic door technology was increasing every year. At the beginning, it was difficult to control the speed of the motor by supplying power to the building. It was only necessary to control the oil pressure and air pressure, but the energy utilization efficiency was very low. However, with the development of electrical control technology, the electrical control technology is now mature. The electric automatic door that directly controls the motor has gradually become the mainstream. For example: various automatic special doors with identifiable control, such as: induction automatic door (infrared sensing, microwave sensing, touch sensing, foot sensing), swipe automatic door, etc.

A system that automatically opens and closes a door leaf using power, air pressure, or hydraulic pressure using a foot pedal, a photoelectric beam, or the like.

In the 1st century AD, the device that the Greek Hilo built to automatically open the temple door (Fig. 1) was the first automatic door that was powered by air pressure and hydraulic pressure. As shown in the figure, the altar ignition causes the air of 1 to expand, the water to flow into 2, and the shaft 3 is rotated by the weight of the water to open the door. The altar is extinguished and the door is automatically closed. There are three main methods for the operation of modern automatic doors.

1 foot pedal type: a pressure switch is installed under the pedal.

2 Photoelectric beam type: A light beam emitting device and a photoelectric sensing device are disposed in the vicinity of the door.

3 button mode: Press the button like a switch to open the door leaf. The automatic door opens and closes the door leaf by sliding, hinge or folding. In order to prevent theft, special equipment must be installed at the same time. For example, an automatic door for a home needs to be equipped with a person identification device or a television monitor, and the personnel outside the home are strictly restricted. Automatic doors have been widely used in shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, airports, stations, banks and other occasions.
