Modern R&D support for wireless charging cars has entered the testing phase

According to a report on May 30th by the Korean etnews website, Hyundai Motor Co., Ltd. has developed a new type of car that can wirelessly charge smartphones and is currently in the final testing phase. It is expected that the general smart phone users will be the breakthrough point and open a new market for wireless charging.

According to reports, Hyundai Motor’s new car will be launched in October and will feature a magnetically-induced wireless charger with a “Ravens” follow-up model. Chips on the receivers use IT products, Korea TODA-ISU and SAMWHA will provide ferrite cores as a core accessory.

The technology adopted by the magnetically-induced charger is the "Q6" certified "A6" type technology in the WPC. Hyundai Motor temporarily adopts this standard. It is reported that the A6 standard is equipped with 6 ferrite cores, which is the most suitable for cars.

The R&D of smartphone-equipped wireless charger technology for automobiles will be a starting point for the popularity of the wireless charging market. At present, the price of a wireless charger as a general purpose is too high, and consumers prefer to purchase a vehicle equipped with a wireless charger. After the production enterprises increase the production capacity of finished products and accessories, the price of wireless chargers will drop. A related person in the Korean automotive industry revealed that "this is a means for Hyundai to compete with foreign brands." (Internship compile: Feng Jiaya, reviewer: Li Xiaofei)
