In the processing of the roll hole type, in order to ensure the correct hole pitch and adjust the hole type, a special measurement joint plate is often used (Fig. 1). Since each hole profile measurement datum size is different, a roll is usually equipped with multiple samples. This method has the following deficiencies:
1 When producing a variety of rolls, a variety of samples are required, and the cost is high (about 30 to 200 yuan per piece of stainless steel).
2 Frequent replacement of the measurement template during testing is time-consuming and labor-intensive.
3 When the sample size is long, it is easy to deform and affects the measurement accuracy.
4 Measurement joint template is a special model, only passive measurement of the hole type is qualified, can not accurately measure the specific hole size.
2. Special caliper design
According to the measuring principle of the vernier caliper, a special caliper for measuring hole type (see Fig. 2) is produced, which is widely used in roll production. Usually the roll pitch is A ± 0.1 mm. In order to save costs, the scrapped caliper can be modified (size accuracy 0-0.02 mm, 0-0.05 mm to meet the requirements), or self-drawing samples can be customized from the gauge manufacturer (the seat plate and the sub-foot can be integrated as one when customizing). The main components of the caliper are composed of a seat plate, a pressure plate and a tightening bolt connecting the caliper and the sample. The production steps are as follows (see Figure 3 for dimensions):
(1) Calculate the outer dimensions of the seat plate D, K and the size of the two bonding holes according to the internal dimensions of the different vernier calipers. The size D should be such that L (the height of the top of the template arc after loading the template) is lower than L1 (the size of the top left jaw of the main ruler), that is, L
