Renewable energy types

Geothermal Energy

Geothermal geothermal energy refers to thermal energy resources from inside the Earth. The earth we live in is a huge thermal pool, only 10 km underground, the heat storage is 1.05 × 10 ^ 26 joules, equivalent to the heat released by 3.58 × 10 ^ 15 tons of standard coal. Geothermal energy is stored in the process of its evolution. It is another natural energy independent of solar energy. It is not affected by conditions such as weather conditions, and its future development potential is also quite large.

Water energy

Water energy is an energy resource that is utilized by people by converting the potential energy and kinetic energy of water into mechanical energy or electrical energy. At present, the way of using water energy is mainly hydroelectric power generation, also known as hydropower station. The advantages of hydropower generation are low cost, continuous regeneration, and no pollution. The disadvantage is that it is limited by natural conditions such as distribution, climate and landform. China's theoretical reserves of hydropower resources are nearly 700 million kilowatts, making it the country with the largest total amount of hydropower resources in the world.

Wind energy

Wind energy exists anywhere on the earth. It is the energy generated by the flow of air heated by energy such as solar energy. It is usually the use of specialized devices (wind turbines) to convert wind into various forms of energy such as mechanical energy, electrical energy, and thermal energy. Used for water lifting, navigation, power generation, refrigeration and heating. Wind power generation is currently the main form of wind energy utilization. According to the latest statistics of the National Wind Energy Resource Survey, the total reserves of wind energy resources at a height of 10 meters above the ground in China's land area is 4.35 billion kilowatts, of which the technology development capacity is about 300 million kilowatts, which has broad development prospects.

Biomass energy

Sunlight and biomass Biomass mainly refers to the energy that plants convert solar energy into chemical energy stored in biomass through chlorophyll photosynthesis. Biomass energy has always been an important source of energy for human survival. It is currently the fourth largest energy source in the world after coal, oil and natural gas, and plays an important role in the entire energy system. It is estimated that the total amount of biomass produced by photosynthesis on the earth reaches 144 to 180 billion tons per year, and its energy is about 3 to 8 times that of the world's total annual energy consumption in the early 1990s.

Tidal energy

Tidal energy refers to the water energy formed by sea water during tides and tides. It includes the energy contained in both the tidal and tidal movements, which are derived from the gravitational effects of the moon and the sun on the sea. The tidal water contains enormous energy in the fluctuations. This energy is eternal and pollution-free energy. The theoretical reserves of tidal energy in the world are about 3 billion kilowatts. The coastline of China has twists and turns, and the theoretical reserves of tidal energy have reached 110 million kilowatts. Compared with general hydropower generation, the energy density of tidal energy is relatively low, so the development cost is high.
