1. Gas pressure regulating station and main performance indicators

The gas pressure regulating station is generally composed of a pressure regulator, a filter, a quick safety shut-off valve, a safety release device, a measuring instrument, a process pipeline, a valve, etc., and its main task is to receive the upstream pipe network to collect gas, perform filtration, pressure regulation, and stabilization. The pressure, metering and related parameter records are adjusted and controlled according to the pressure and flow of the pipeline.
(1) The main operating parameters of the pressure regulating equipment are: inlet pressure P1; outlet pressure P2; closing pressure Pb; discharge pressure Pf; cut-off pressure Pq.
(2) Determination of operational parameters of the pressure regulating station a. The relationship between the closing pressure and the outlet pressure is based on the regulator's voltage regulation accuracy Sp (Sp = 0.5% to 1.5%) and its performance, and the relationship between the closing pressure and the outlet pressure: Pb = 1.1 to 1 .25P2
b. The relationship between the closing pressure and the releasing pressure can be used to relieve the leakage problem caused by the tight closing of the pressure regulator. Generally, the discharge is started after the closing pressure exceeds 10% to 20%, and the discharge pressure is Rf=1.1~1. 2Pb.
c. The relationship between the cut-off pressure and the release pressure causes the gas to dissipate, which is not conducive to environmental protection and the safety of surrounding life and property, and wastes energy. In order to prevent long-term release, generally consider that the discharge pressure exceeds 10%-20% to cut off the gas source, that is, the cutting pressure is Pq=1.1~1.2Pf.

2. Regulator failure and technical measures

Regulator failure

In actual operation, the regulator will fail due to its own quality problems, unclean temperament and poor maintenance management. Generally, there are mainly the following situations:
First, the regulator fails, overpressure supply, so that the inlet pressure (high pressure or medium pressure) directly enters the downstream pipe network and the user without depressurization, causing damage to the gas meter, pipeline and gas equipment, and even causing fire, a serious accident such as an explosion;
Second, the regulator fails, the outlet pressure drops rapidly or the gas supply is shut off, the supply pressure of the downstream pipe network and the user will decrease, and there is a large difference in height between the regulator and the user, which will lead to the pipe network. "Empty operation", the supply air pressure is seriously insufficient, etc., causing a risk factor such as a flameout in the user terminal, a mixture of gas and air in the pipeline, causing an explosion;
Third, the voltage regulator malfunctions, and the supply air pressure fluctuates, causing the user to burn the gas incompletely, resulting in unsafe factors.
In the above situation, according to the convention, only the following measures can be taken: Under normal circumstances, one pressure regulating system in the pressure regulating station is in working state, and the other road is in standby standby state. When the pressure regulator fails, causing overpressure release, etc., after receiving the user report, the operator can arrive at the site for processing, take the shutdown fault regulation system, and open another pressure regulation system and safety release device to make it work normally. . This kind of practice will bring many unsafe factors to the user, and even cause more serious security incidents, and its security is extremely poor.

Coping with technical measures

Adopting the “three-pressure” test measures on the basis of technical parameter adjustment, simultaneous detection and commissioning of three pressures of pressure regulator outlet pressure (P2), closing pressure (Pb) and rapid safety shut-off valve shut-off pressure (Pq) . To guide the operation and maintenance management work, eliminate faults in time, and ensure normal operation. The detection method is:
a. Pressure regulator outlet pressure (P2) detection: Using the station internal pressure automatic recorder, the 24-hour running pressure test record is analyzed, and the pressure fluctuation and stability are analyzed. When an abnormal situation occurs, the regulator is considered to be faulty and should be repaired and maintained in a normal operating state.
b. Regulator closing pressure (Pb) detection: In the case of ensuring the normal operation of the equipment of one regulating station and satisfying the supply of the network, first close the valve after the other regulator, and then observe the outlet pressure of the regulator. The outlet pressure will gradually rise and reach a certain value (P). When P<1.25P2, the regulator is considered to be stable and working normally. When P>1.25P2, the regulator is considered to be unstable and faulty, and maintenance should be performed immediately.
c. Safety shut-off valve cut-off pressure (Pq) detection: When ensuring the normal operation of the equipment of one pressure regulating station and satisfying the supply of air in the pipe network, first close the valve after the other pressure regulator, adjust the pressure regulator to make the outlet pressure safe. Cut off the pressure setting value, observe whether the safety shut-off valve starts to jump and cut off the air source, and judge whether the performance is stable, whether the work is normal, and whether the action is flexible.
Through the above detection method, it can be determined whether the operation of the pressure regulating device is normal, whether the performance is stable, and whether the action is flexible. So as to achieve timely troubleshooting, solve problems, and ensure a safe and reliable gas supply.
According to the above technical principles, in March 2002, we carried out technical transformation of the Lanzhou gas pressure regulating station, installed a fast safety shut-off valve, adjusted the technical parameters, and observed and tested the actual operation, and the work was stable and normal. In April, the Lanwei pressure regulating station was overpressured (P2=3480Pa), which caused the fast safety shut-off valve to take off and cut off the air source. The pressure of the two-way regulator dropped to its set working pressure (P2= When 2200Pa), the operation is automatically started to ensure normal gas supply, avoiding an accident and achieving the purpose of safe gas supply. So far, the Lanzhou gas pipeline network has not experienced an overpressure, depressurization, and gas outage accident, which has truly achieved the goal of safe and stable long-term operation.
