On May 25, 2016, the Office of Resources and Environment Technology of the 863 Program organized and held a technical acceptance meeting for the "Radioactive Mineral Exploration and Development Technology" project in the "12th Five-Year Plan" resource and environmental technology field in Beijing.
The theme project of "Radioactive Mineral Exploration and Development Technology" aims at solving key technical problems in the exploration, smelting and smelting of hidden sandstone uranium deposits, improving the research and development level of China's uranium exploration technology and equipment, and protecting the development of China's medium and long-term nuclear energy industry and national defense. Build technical support for the demand for uranium resources. The project addresses the key technical issues in the exploration, mining and metallurgical process of concealed sandstone uranium deposits. It has completed identification of hidden radioactive minerals, simulation and control of in-situ uranium mining technologies, research on pulsed neutron logging and uranium quantitative interpretation technologies, and high-precision energy spectrum detection. Instrument development work. Through project research, developed the sandstone-type uranium ore mineralization environment, sand body identification and positioning technology, uranium mineralization information detection technology and GIS integrated prediction and evaluation system; identified the dissolution laws of various minerals in sandstone uranium ore and created sandstone A theoretical model for the formation of uranium mineral acid and neutral leaching systems and complexes; development of high-precision handheld X-ray fluorometers, micro-field microstrip field X fluorescence mineral probes, high-precision gamma spectrometer, high Sensitivity field survey instrument, pulsed neutron uranium ore logging instrument and other equipment prototypes, and developed supporting software. The technical achievements obtained by the project have been applied in a large scale in uranium exploration and in-situ leaching of uranium in large northern sandstone basins such as Yili, Xinjiang, Erlian, Inner Mongolia, and Ordos in China, with good social and economic benefits.
At the meeting, the acceptance expert team heard the report of the project's chief expert on the implementation of the project, reviewed the relevant acceptance materials, and conducted inquiries. After discussion, the acceptance panel agreed that the project passed technical acceptance.
