It is understood that the leader in energy efficiency release system is to establish the lowest energy consumption of a product as a benchmark, leading other companies to strive to achieve the level of benchmarking companies, thereby improving the industry's energy efficiency. Under the guidance and assistance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the petrochemical federation combined with the energy efficiency standards of the key energy-using industry to meet the target standard, selected 10 products and tried out the energy efficiency leader publishing system. Through extensive energy consumption data collection and verification, after discussions with relevant professional associations and key enterprises, the first batch of leaders for energy efficiency were finally formed.

Li Yongwu, president of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, said at the meeting that while being proud of the achievements of these leaders, it should also be realized that most companies in the industry have low energy efficiency levels and the industry's average energy efficiency is generally low.
