As a CAD software engineer, we are also a pragmatic pragmatist. The initial consideration of developing this function is also to see its practical significance. Initially, because many users and friends told us that there are some objects in the actual drawing. The control of the relationship is difficult to achieve through conventional capture, labeling and the like. This made us feel very frustrated... Later, the emergence of parametric design features effectively solved this problem.

The grief for power is the best interpretation of ours: the decision to abandon the parametric function frees us with R&D resources and time so that we can implement other more valuable functions and improvements, such as Dynamic blocks, etc. However, we are still convinced that parameterization will not disappear into the 2D design field, and the future will definitely return to Zhongwang CAD+ in a more friendly, more controllable and compatible way.

For another example, the rendering feature is also a very interesting topic. Some users say that 2D design software needs a powerful rendering engine. Of course, some users say that they don't need it. Finally, we still made a "no need" decision! The reason is that we used to think that it is needed: the past Zhongwang CAD is based on the foreign kernel, so it has built-in rendering engine that comes with IntelliCAD. As a result, it mainly undertakes some simpler rendering tasks and does not support well-level applications. This kind of chicken ribs can't be described! Zhongwang CAD+ focuses on 2D design while taking into account the necessary 3D modeling features such as stretching, 3D viewing, visual styles and more. Our user base is mainly focused on the 2D design field, and there is not much demand for 3D rendering functions. Once the users who have requirements have very high requirements on rendering quality, this is something that the previous rendering engine can't satisfy.

After comprehensive consideration, instead of entangled in the entanglement, the fate of this old-style rendering engine is also sadly reminded - we did not hesitate to take it off. And this once again confirms the "missing of the sorrow": it further reduces the software cost (disclosed, the rendering cost of the rendering engine is very expensive), users who do not need to render do not have to pay for it. Extra cost. At the same time, we are also continuing to look for high-quality third-party rendering product partners, infinite form, secondary development plug-in form, and file collaborative design between products, as long as a high-level rendering solution can be achieved. The user's rendering needs, we are not rejected, warm welcome.

Nowadays, it is difficult to remember how many similar decisions we have made, and we believe that there will be in the future.
